Day 1 down, 9 more days to go!

Santiago's Historic Church

Nice work on the first couple of posts class!

Class, please try to upload your photos to flickr, and then get them in the flickr group The Global Wine Industry.

Yesterday we got to see some of Chile’s historical sites.

Does anyone recognize the historic Chilean locations shown in Commanding Heights (open the video on Counterrevolution in Chile 1970-75?  For the full video start here.

Today we start our lectures/tours that are relevant to The Global Wine Industry!

Has anyone found any good Chilean wines?  I had my first carmener last night.  It was interesting.  Not too fruity, but lots of coffee/espresso taste with strong mineralic flavors as well.  Maybe the coffee/espresso taste would make it good for this type of a situation.  I bought this wine at the supermarket and it cost me about as much as the bottle of Evian that I took from my hotel room’s mini-bar last night.
